COMMUNICATION

A Multicultural Look into Interpersonal Relationships

So you’ve seen the movies Australia and Quigley Down Under and are fascinated and intrigued with learning more about this continent’s people and their customs. A visit to the world “down under” will give you a “once in a lifetime” opportunity to examine Australia’s culture and people while developing effective “people skills” through the study of interpersonal communication. Topics to be explored will include self-concept, perception, emotions, language, nonverbal cues, relational dynamics, listening and conflict resolution. The development of interpersonal relationships through interaction with individuals from diverse populations is imperative to personal and professional success in today’s multicultural world.
