What is included in CCSA's Program Fee?
(Note that there may be some variations between programs.)
- A three- or four-credit hour course
- Cultural and class-related activities
- Housing in double rooms or shared student accommodations
- One meal daily, usually breakfast
- Pre-departure advising and orientation
- On-site orientation and administration by CCSA Program Directors
- 24/7 emergency contact on-site and U.S.-based support
- International health and travel delay insurance
- At least one day trip outside of the program base
- For programs with dual country locations: one-way flights between thw two sites (eg: London & Dublin, London & Edinburgh)
- Partial payment of on-site public transportation costs, where applicable
Accommodations
In London, participants stay at a hotel in one of London’s finest central locations. Many iconic sites are within walking distance. Taking a tube from the nearby tube station quickly transports you to other city areas, including Canary Wharf, Wembley Stadium, Greenwich, and all London mainline stations.
Hotel accommodations are based primarily on double occupancy with occasional use of triple rooms. Singles are available at an additional cost. A full English breakfast is provided daily.
Full Day Excursion "Ancient British History"
Date: TBAJoin us in a day of exploring two phenomenal Stone Circles located in northern Wiltshire.
Your exploration into the past begins in the medieval village of Avebury, where you’ll encounter the world’s largest stone circle, surrounded by other significant monuments, including a cove and two smaller circles. After your guided tour of the Stone Circles, you'll visit the Alexander Keiller Museum, which offers deeper insight into the site’s history. Afterward, you'll have free time to wander the village at your own pace and get lunch at one of the traditional village pubs.
Next, uncover the fascinating story of Stonehenge, one of the most significant prehistoric sites in Britain, attracting visitors for centuries. As perhaps the most important ancient monument in the country, Stonehenge stands as a powerful symbol of human ingenuity, creativity, and imagination. During your visit, you’ll have the chance to explore a world-class exhibition and immerse yourself in the mysteries surrounding the expansive Stonehenge landscape, gaining insight into the remarkable history and cultural significance of this ancient wonder.

John Strada
On-Site Director
A Senior Lecturer, John brings m more than 20 years of experience teaching college level Communication Studies courses. He has taught courses in Small Group Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Leadership, Basic and Advanced Public Speaking, and various hybrid introductory courses with content ranging from small group and interpersonal communication to public speaking, basic theory & methods and communication history. John also currently teaches as part of EKU’s nationally prominent honors program, where he team teaches the freshman Honors Rhetoric course with faculty members from English and Philosophy.
Kim Kerns
Assistant On-Site Director
Kim Kerns was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, and completed her undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Louisville. Kim received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and her Master of Public Administration with a focus on public policy. Kim is currently working on her Ph.D. in Education and Social Change at Bellarmine University and hopes to continue working and teaching in higher education while focusing on education policy and access.
Kim currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Academic Enrichment at Bellarmine University and has the opportunity to support academic programs including study abroad. She enjoys traveling and exploring both far away and close to home alongside her family and her dog, Riley.
Group or Individual Travel Allowed
Option One - Group Travel
Travel together with faculty, staff and other participants from your CCSA program with our group travel. CCSA will purchase a airline ticket from select U.S. cities on your behalf. The airline cost will be included in your final bill from CCSA. In addition to the flight, you will also receive transport to/from the accommodation in the destination city and the airport.
You can check our currently available departure cities on our departures page CCSA highly recommends this option for those new to international travel.
Includes:- roundtrip air transportation from one of CCSA's designated U.S. departure cities.
- roundtrip ground transportation between airport and the accommodation site.
- CCSA faculty and staff to guide you through the immigration and customs process.
Option Two - Individual Travel
If you wish to make independent travel arrangements and depart from a city not listed or travel outside the program dates please choose INDEPENDENT TRAVEL from the selection below. You will book your own flights and arrange your own transportation to/from the airport and the accommodation site of the program. This is a great option for going early, staying late, or using airline miles to purchase tickets. We highly recommend participants not fly standby for these programs as a late arrival may negatively impact your grade.
Important Note for Independent Travelers: Please be aware that your check-in date may be up to 24 hours AFTER the program start date (program dates include travel time).Check the CCSA website at https://ccsa.cc/departures for your scheduled date/time check-in.

Visas
Not required for U.S. citizens for less than a 3-month stay. Non-U.S. citizens are responsible for obtaining a visa as needed.
